The 5k road race around the streets of Ballynahinch on Sunday, organised by the Ballynahinch War Memorial Restoration Committee, included Sarah Gibson as the sole North Down runner.
Sarah had an impressive impact on the race finishing 10th overall and 2nd female in a time of 22:42. It was assessed that the course was slightly long measuring 5.3K, which affected the finishing times.
The organisers produced a unique medal for the race with the poppy shaped medal supported by a ribbon with an image of the Queen.
