Middle distance athletes on Wednesday evening had a choice of events between the Albertville Ballysillan 5K on the roads and BMC Meet 3 featuring 1500m races at Mary Peters. The Ballysillan contingent did well and included Simon Seaton 2nd overall, John Carlisle 6th, Roberta Dornan 3rd woman and David Seaton 1st M60. At Mary Peters, Jordan Stokes ran a pb of 4:26.7 min, Thomas Simpson equalled his pb and Francis Marsh was just outside a seasons best. Most pleasing was the return to racing of Kerry Iveston after a nightmare year of injuries and illness. Her time of 5:14.6 was very satisfactory after all that.
