Bangor Classic 10K

Over six hundred runners turned out on a very warm day for the Bangor Classic 10K, a record for the modern incarnation of the Council-supported event, unfortunately causing the water supply to crash for which we apologise. Paul Pollock of Abbey AC won the event from Gareth Turnbull and Joe McAllister who led St Malachy"s to the team title. Suzanne McCormick (LVAC) won the womens race from Gladys O"Neill. North Down"s Senior Women had a great day and won the team title in style with Roberta Dornan, Stephanie Hambling, Lynne Kerr and Debbie Matchett with Roberta 6th woman and the others collecting age group prizes too.  Brian Barron in 37:24 min and Nick Arkensparr in 37:28 min were first home from the club while Gerry O"Boyle was 2nd M50.
