Approximate results from the Marathon are 3.09 for Ian Atkinson and 3.58 for Pat O’Driscoll, about 18 minutes faster than last year. In the relay the North Down Wrinkly team of Ken Hawtin, Ean McClure, Fred Murdock, Brian Smith and Norman Lellyett ran 3.04, close enough to their combined age of 308.
