A handful of Northern Ireland athletes, mostly currently resident across the water, represented Northern Ireland on Sunday and Monday in Bedford at the CAU Inter-Counties Championships. Ben Reynolds and Hannah Lewis were included in the NI squad and on Sunday both were in action. Ben won the 110m hurdles title, again twice breaking the Northern Ireland record, running 14.04 and 13.90 sec in the final. both times with a +2.2 wind. He is currently running well inside the record in conditions marginally over the limit. A legal record at the up-coming NI Senior Championship, worth a £200 bonus could be beckoning. Hannah competed in the long jump with a windy best of 5.77m (+3.7), 6th out of 20.
