Meanwhile at a blustery Morton Stadium in Dublin, the first day of the AAI Senior Championships took place. James Budde finished 4th in his heat of the 1500m in a new pb of 4:00.81 min but did not make the final from a huge entry. Philip Browne was 5th in the long jump with 6.48m (+2.5).
