[Not a valid template]North Down were well represented at senior level when the Bobby Rea Memorial Races were led at Jordanstown following the Age Group Championships. Though heavyish, conditions underfoot held up well despite the big fields in the 8 races held beforehand. Roberta Dornan and Stephanie Hambling were 5th and 6th in the 5K ladies race while in the associated mens” 60 plus race, David Seaton, Fred Murdoch and Norman Lellyett were 1st, 3rd and 4th. In the mens” 6K race Niall Robinson, James Budde and Francis Marsh were 7th, 15th and 16th in the strong field, taking 3rd in the 3 to count team race. If it had been 4 or more to count we would have been a shoo-in as Alex Donald was 19th, Nick Arkensparr 28th while Darren McKee, Thomas Simpson and Douglas Grant battled among themselves every step of the way for 42nd, 43rd and 44th.
