While many North Down AC runners were pounding the streets of Belfast on Sunday 30th April, Brian Geddis took a trip to the River Boyne for the Drogheda 10k, one of the biggest 10k events in Ireland. Starting and finishing in the town centre and racing along the scenic banks of the Boyne on a hot and humid day with the ever present threat of thunder, Brian navigated the hilly first half and the pancake flat second half to finish 1st in the MV60 category in 42:31, just ahead of the thunderstorm and torrential rain!
