Brendan McConville was the only athlete from North Down to compete in the Premier Division at Sports City, Manchester where he was 2nd in “B” polevault for Woodford Green with 4.70m. In Division 1 at Picketts Lock Tom Reynolds and Jeremy Harper represented Windsor, Slough, Eton and Hounslow. Tom was 6th in “B” 400m in 51.21 sec, 1st in “B” 110m hurdles in 15.32 sec, 1st in “B” pole vault with 4.40m and 5th in “B” triple jump with 12.49m. Jeremy was 4th in “A” shot with 13.26m, 4th in “B” discus with 36.09m and 5th in “A” javelin with 51.28m.
