Over the course of the weekend 19th – 21st February Andrew Mellon and Sarah Connolly were competing in the British Universities and College Sports Indoor Track and Field Championships in Sheffield.
Adding to his impressive Irish title Andrew won a bronze medal in the Mens 400M and in the process achieved a PB of 47.82. Also competing in the Mens 60M, Andrew won his heat in 7.12, then bowed out in the semis after running a quicker 7.11.
Multi eventer Sarah Connolly, participating in the Women 60M hurdles, also won her heat in 9.00, but sadly did not progress beyond the semis.
