The Northern Ireland Combined Events Championships were held over two days on Saturday and Sunday at Mary Peters Track with North Down athletes competing in the U17 and U20 girls Heptathlons, the U17 boys Octathlon and the U13 girls and U15 boys Pentathlons. Gold Medal performances came from Sarah Connolly and Aaron Corbett who won the U17 heptathlon and octathlons respectively with 3758 and 3743 points. Clare Robinson won silver in the U20 heptathlon with 3526 and there were bronze medals for Elleana Hull in U17 heptathlon with 3003, Mark Burton in U17 octathlon with 3107 and Martyn Quinn in U15 pentathlon with 1669. Murphy Miller was 6th in U13 pentathlon with 1308. Apart from Clare, none had previously competed in combined events.
