On Sunday 27th July 2014, the Cookstown Half Marathon was also the ninth race in the 2014 Pure Running-Champion Chip Ireland Half Marathon Series. Les Wilkinson was first North Down runner 83:10 min and 25th overall and 2nd M55. Catherine Roberts had another good run in 88:52 min and 6th lady, 3rd in the F40 category and looks set to top the Pure Running Series in her category if she carries on for one more race. Gordon Wilkinson, Lynne Kerr and Pat O’Driscoll all had excellent placings in their respective categories.
