The County Down Schools got good weather at Delamont Park but the legacy of very heavy recent rain leaving a mudbath. All the club runners likely to qualify for the Ulsters did so with relative ease. In the Senior Girls Lauren Scott (3rd) and Jessica Craig (5th) made up a Glenlola team by moving Lauren"s sister Clare up an age group and they were a mere two points away from winning the team race. The other team made up entirely of scorers from the club were Strangford Inter Boys who were even closer. Brian Barron (2nd) and Jordan Stokes (5th) were joined by Matthew McMullan and Chris Denny and they had the same score as St Pats Newry but came second on countback. Half of the top ten in the Senior Boys were club members with Bangor Grammar taking the team race from Campbell. Top twelve finishes in other races came from Roger Dawson, Harry Spiers, Mark Armstrong and Josh Lowry while the previous day in Ormeau Park, Sophie Strutt was 10th in the Inter Girls of the Belfast Districts.
