On Saturday the latest EAMS race took place which was an Ultra marathon totalling 31 miles. Two of our athletes competed, Andy Belshaw and Donald Smith. Their accounts of the race:
Andy Belshaw-
Completed my 1st ultra marathon today covering 50kms in 4hrs 9mins. This included 3 monster climbs up the knockagh road to the monument. Finished 2nd place which was a bonus as I paced nicely and steady to the end.
Donald Smith-
Ultra marathon completed – 31.5 miles / 50km with over 2500ft of ascent following a course from Greenisland up to the Knockagh monument 3 times. Mr T himself will want some of the latest EAMS bling round his neck.
