Simon Seaton ran 2:49.39 hrs to finish 48th out of more than 10,000 entries in a very windy Edinburgh marathon on Sunday. There was a great effort on Monday from the organisers of the inaugural Newry marathon and half marathon to get 310 finishers for the marathon and 608 for the half marathon. Gerry McCoy ran 3:28.34 to finish 46th in the full marathon while in the half Simon Cummings was 17th in 1:29.58, Diane Keys was 90th in 1:29.58 and Michael Jenkins (combining his sponsorship involvement with Up & Running was114th in 1:48.17.
