The Edwards and Co Series came to an end for the season at Mary Peters Track on Thurday with Meet No 5. The North Down contingent were mainly young sprinter/jumpers who acquitted themseves well. Oliver Wakefield inevitably dominated, winning the U13 200m by nearly three seconds in 27.09. He also won the long jump with a rather frustrating pb of 4.99m and he was 2nd at discus with another pb of 19.13. The girls also did well with Saskia Greer 2nd at U13 200m in 30.18 sec and a 3.40m long jump while Olivia Cumming was 2nd in the long jump with 4.07m. Natasha Mellon was 4th at U18 long jump with 4.19m and ran 30.41 sec at 200m.
