Two of our promising young athletes have been selected to represent Ireland at the European Youth Championships from 14th – 17th July.
Aaron Sexton achieved the qualifying times for the 100M, 10:90 and 200M, 21:90 having run 10:86 at the Irish Schools and 21:83 at the Tailteann Games, but will only be running his favoured 200M in Tbilisi. Craig McMeechan made the grade of 8:40 in the 3000M on two separate occasions returning times of 8:35 at the Belfast International and 8:36 at the Irishtown Irish Milers Club race.
Congratulations to both boys and to their coaches, Roger Sexton and Francis Marsh. The club wishes them every success at the championships.
