Great Britain and Northern Ireland easily won the First League match in Vaasa, Finland to bounce back up to the Premier Division at the first attemp. Eva Massey secured five points for the GB women by coming fourth in the shot with a putt of 15.12m. Sweden”s Helena Engman won the event with 17.60m to take eight points and put pressure at the time on the British women in the overall event. Eva registered a no-throw in the first round before throwing 14.75m in the second. Her best putt came in the fourth round, to finish ahead of Finland. Eva said she was just glad to have been able to add to the team”s achievement. Amy Foster was a late withdrawal from the Ireland team which competed in the same division.Shot results
