[Not a valid template]The Northern Ireland and Ulster (Even) age-group cross country championships took place on Saturday at the Jordanstown sports fields. With the All Ireland Finals due to be held in Derry this year on 28th November, there was extra interest in qualifying for them either the hard way (fiirst 12) or via club or county team placings (first 3). Glen Willis was the highest placed with 6th in the U16 boys race in 14:31 min for 4K. In the U16 girls 4K race Abbey Taylor was an unlucky 13th in 18:25 min but gained a county medal. At U12 level over 2K, Charlie McNutt waswas 17th in 8:50 min but again won a county medal while in the girls” race Anna Tyson was 42nd in 10:53 min. In the U14 3K”s Charlie Quinn was 46th in 12:40 min, no medal but eligible for county representation while in the equivalent girls”race Katherine Kirk and Olivia Cummings were 46th and 52nd in 13:53 and 14:26 min without a scoring county team to feature in..
