Thursday evening saw the third event in the Super 6 series at Mary Peters Track. In the Mini girls there were two victories for Niamh Fenlon in the 60M hurdles (12:64) and Anna Cousins in the 60M sprint(9:42). Tilly McWhinney also ran the 60M hurdles finishing 5th (17:19).
North Down had a clean sweep in the Mini girls javelin with Niamh Fenlon once again winning (14:34), Tilly McWhinney 2nd (14:24) and Hannah Lawden 3rd (10:95). The three girls were well clear of their nearest rivals.
In the U13 events North Down were represented by two athletes. Rose McGreevy came 2nd in the 70M hurdles (12:80) and Charlie Lawden also claiming 2nd in the Shot (4:49).
Rachel and Kate McCann wore the North Down colours in the U15’s with Rachel winning the Long Jump (4:51) and Kate coming 3rd in the Discus (15:51).
In the Senior events Clare Robinson won the 100M hurdles (15:60) and Tom Reynolds came 2nd in the 110M hurdles (15:25).
