Conditions were good for meet 4 of Lagan Valley’s super 5 series on Thursday evening at the Mary Peter’s Track. In the U13 girls, Rachel McCann set figures of 15.16s for 100m & 3.68m for long jump, while sister Kate McCann was not far behind with 15.69s & 3.56m in the same events. Alan Kennedy – having been side-lined from triple jump for most of the season with injury – posted a useful 14:20m for that discipline. Rachel Gibson front ran gun to tape to win the combined u17/senior women’s 1500m race in 4:42.20, with Katie Moore clocking a pb of 5:09.84 in the same race. A field of 29 athletes set off in the last race of the night – the combined u17/senior 1500m – which saw Francis Marsh place 6th overall in 4:22.90 sb.
