The first of the weekly ParkRuns over 5K at Belfast Waterworks on Saturday morning was a big success attracting over a hundred assorted runners. At 9.30am the conditions were dry and sunner and combined with the flat surface, times were good. Certainly the North Down girls who ran were operating cose to, or better than, their 5K pbs. In the ladies section, Lynne Kerr was 2nd in 21:38, Jill Aicken was3rd in 22:07, Sarah Benton was 4th in 22:22 and Tracy McWhinney ran 25:51 min.It is planned that the timed runs will take place weekly at the same time.
