Four Golds for Jeremy

Jeremy Harper single-handedly took the University of Ulster to second in the medals table and 5th in the points table at the weekend in the Irish Universities Championships at a sun-drenched Santry Stadium. Jeremy won the shot with 13.17m, the discus with 44.50m, the 16Kg weight for distance with 9.03m and more unexpectedly the javelin with a new pb of 52.32m which takes him to second on the all-time club list. Francis Marsh (University of Ulster) broke the club veterans record at 5000m with 15:54.37 min and Michael Dyer (Loughborough but guesting) opened his outdoor season with a useful 1:53.69 min at 800m.

Stuart Brown (Ulster) reached the 100m final with 4th in his semi and was 7th in 12.15 sec.  Aaron Stirling (Trinity) was 5th at hammer with 35.94m and 9th in the weight for distance with 5.85m..
