Terry Eakin and Gerry Coy, Gerry still in rehab mode, had good runs in the mens event with 4th and 5th overall. With the girls Francesca Brown finished first for the second week in a row taking her pb down to 20:11min, close to the elite sub 20 club. Jill Aicken and Alison Downey were 3rd and 4th and Janet Toal and young Emily Johnston had debut runs

Saturday had been designated by Lucozade as “run free day” aiming at fancy dress and bringing a newcomer. With Victoria Park still in its establishment phase, there was little sign of this but one suspects it was a lot more frivolous at the Waterworks where Frank Dillon, Zoe Illingworth and Debbie Matchett took part.
