Francis Marsh represented Team Ireland at the World Masters Athletics Championships in Toruń, Poland this weekend. The 7 day long event brings together the world’s best masters athletes to compete against their peers in all track and field disciplines. On Sunday 26th March Francis came 10th in the M55 indoor 300m in 9:48. He was back outdoors the next day in the M55 8k cross country where he finished in 11th place in 30:42. Francis’ performance together with Irish team mates Patrick Malone and Dominic Horan was enough to secure a silver medal for Ireland behind Portugal and ahead of Spain.
