Francis Marsh left North London after the weekend with a full set of British Masters Indoor Track and Field Championship medals. Competing in the M40 group at the spanking new high tech Lee Valley Athletics Centre, Francis ran the 1500m in 2nd place for all but the last 50m but he was outsprinted at the end and finished 3rd in 4:14.90 min. Though the 800m was only half an hour later, he felt he he had nothing to lose by competing and he was 2nd in 2:05.98 in another tactical race.
Donaghadee man Terry Eakin also xcame away with silver when he was 2nd in the M55 3000m in 10:14.63 min.
