Our good friend and club mate Gary Swenarton has passed away today and it is with shock and sadness that I am writing this post. Gary has achieved recognition on the international stage for his triathlon performances yet many of you may have not have known this. Whilst we all happily told of our own humble running PBs at our Monday night session, Gary could have won at competition that weekend and none of us would have been the wiser. Running around the town and coast with his good friend Les Wilkinson, Gary was a kind, gentle person who was a highly liked and respected member of our club. Our deepest condolences to his wife, Jeanette, and to his extended family. May he rest in peace.
