The girls were in sensational form in Nenagh this weekend at the Irish Indoor Age Group Championships. Kiki Malomo- Paris had double gold winning U14 60m in 8.1 and long jump with 4.41m. Amy Foster won silver in U17 60m in 7.9 while Kim Shaw reached the final of the U16 60m.
Kim ran 8.5 for the 60m and was 9th. At U15 level, Katie Hewitt, still in cross country mode, was 11th at 60m in 8.9 and 6th at long jump with 4.51m
Amy and Kim also qualified at the Odyssey to take part in the 200m in Nenagh but the Irish Indoors is split into two weekends a fortnight apart and the 200m would involve another long trip to Nenagh.
Peter Wickens was perhaps unlucky in that a rugby injury prevented him going to Nenagh where the U15 shot was won in 13.50m, less than Peter’s winning putt at the Odyssey.
