Jamie Stewart was the best of the five North Down runners in the opening race of 2005, the 5.5 mile Kwik Fit Race Over The Glens on the spectacular but tough course in Glenariff Forest Park. Jamie was 17th out of the 200 runners in 38.04 and first Junior.
Tony Wall was 50th in 42.01 (4th O45), Hugh Young was 134th in 50.14 (2nd O65), Lynne Wilson 145th in 51.51 (4th Lady Vet) and Pat O’Driscoll 177th in 57.38.
The race winner was Defending Champion, Jarlath Falls of Ballymena and Antrim in 33.51.
