On a night where all clubs seemed to have trouble turning out teams, North Down did enough to win both the men and women sections. Paul Curran won long and triple jumps with 6.68m and 13.64m while Brendan McConville and David Robb won pole vault and high jump. Michael Dyer and John Saulters ran 1.57.8 and 1.58.8 for 3rd and 4th at 800m and Jamie Stewart got a 3000m pb. Our only thrower was Michael McConkey and finding no javelin on he had seconds at shot and discus and 5th at long jump. Amy Foster and Kerry Iveston got all the points for the girls. Amy won 100m and 200m in 12.66 and 26.36, Kerry won 400m in a pb of 64.89 and was 2nd in shot.
The mens team scored 49 points with Lagan Valley 33, Mid Ulster 28 and City of Derry 22. The women scored 26 with Lagan Valley 21, Ballymena 12 and Abbey 10.
