Half Marathon in Omagh (and Valencia and Berlin)

There were a thousand or so finishers on Saturday at the Omagh half marathon with Les Wilkinson leading the club contingent home in 83:37 min and 3rd M50, but Julie Balmer taking the plaudits with 3rd in the womens race. Julie extended her own club record to 84:06 min Terry Eakin also had his fastest race in North Down colours, winning the M60’s in 85:01 min. Thirteen North Down runners finished with another two going further afield on Sunday over the same distance. Near Valencia Lynne Kerr was 6th vet in the Elche half marathon  in her build-up to the Edinburgh marathon with a good steady run in 104:91 min. In the Berin half marathon Roberta Dornan was 26th female in a big field and was 3rf F35 in 88:22 min.
