Hannah Lewis finally smashed the 6m barrier in Bedford on Sunday at the British Universities Outdoor Championships when, as in the Indoor Championships, the long jump was a 1-2 for the University of Bath. Kim Murray was first with 6.21m and Hannah, who had been the leading qualifier, was 2nd with 6.10m. . Hannah’s jump is one centimetre below the Northern Ireland record. Lauren Scott (Birmingham Uni) at 1500m ran 4:48.11 on Saturday in heats, 4:37.77 for 4th in Sunday’s semi, progressing into Monday’s final where she was a creditable 6th in 4:36.27.
Robin Brown (Cambridge) ran 15:47:44 in the semi final of the 5000m.
