A sprints meeting on Tuesday evening at the Jordanstown High Performance Centre offered a pre-Odyssey hit-out over 60m and 60m hurdles with athletes guaranteed two races. Four North Down athletes took the opportunity, Kenny Elliott being the fastest at 60m with 7.30 and 7.28 secs. Ben Reynolds ran 7.36 and marginally improved his pb with 7.30 secs in the second race. Luke Reynolds ran 7.26 and 7.56 secs and Stuart Brown posted two times of 7.54 sec. Luke won the hurdles unopposed. It was a farewell appearance for a while by Luke who heads to Australia on Thursday. Luke has seen little action for the last year or so due to injury and a compressed course of study but his training is now progressing. A qualified physio, he will now take a placement on the Gold Coast and we look forward to following his progress.
