Representing Northern Ireland in the Inter Counties at Bedford, Eva Massey was 3rd in the shot with 14.76m while in the 400m John Saulters ran 49.72 and in the 400m hurdles Thomas Patton ran 55.46 in the semi and 55.10 in the final. Other Northern Irish results included Ben Houghton who exceeded the Commonwealth Games standard in javelin with 72.42m for 3rd while Laura Kerr was also 3rd in javelin with 46.14m.
