Day 1 of the Woodie’s DIY Senior Track and Field championships were held in bright sunny conditions at Morton Stadium Santry today. There was a silver medal for Alan Kennedy in the triple jump where he had a personal best of 15.22m. Another first day final was in the womens’ discus. Club captain Kathy Hetherington finished just out of the medals in a quality field but she has been nudging the 40m mark all season and fianally went over it in a pb of 40.03m.
