It was Munster’s turn to host the climax of this year’s Irish Schools cross country and several of our athletes made the trip to Waterford for the end of season races. The ground did not seem spring like as the runners ploughed through mud to represent their school.
The Minor boys included Nathan Semple who showed his talents off with a strong 15th place finish. Tara McDonough was similar when finishing 16th in the Junior girls and Amelia Tyler was 38th in the same race.
In the Intermediate girls Murphy Miller finished 28th and Sophie Kenny 51st while Jessica Scott had a great run out in the Senior girls to claim 32nd spot. Rio Catney suffered a loss of shoe in this race and had to withdraw due to the rough nature of the course.
