The AAI U20 and U23 Championships were held in Tullamore on Sunday with Hanna Lewis dipping under 25 secs for the first time this season in winning the U23 200m in 24.94 sec (+0.1). Hanna also took 2nd at long jump with 5.68m while another win went to Laura Loughlin in the U23 triple jump with 10.51m. Lauren Scott improved her North Down AC 800m record to 2:13.51 min with 3rd in the U23 race while Jessica Craig was just short of a pb with 4:54.68 in the U23 1500m. At U20 level Gareth Irvine took 3rd in discus with 41.12m and Mark Patterson was 4th in a tactical 800m with 1:56.44 min. At the Aviva GB Trials & Championships in Birmingham, Ben Reynolds was 4th in the 110m hurdles in 14.53 sec (+1.83).
