The Irish Universities Cross Country Championships were held in Cork on Saturday immediately after the Irish Schools. Jessica Craig spearheaded the UUJ team with an excellent run in 11th place and was 2nd Northern girl. Niall Robinson was equally impressive in the mens” race and was 2nd QUB runner in 20th place, reversing several placings from the Inter Club competition last week. Glen Willis also took some notable scalps in the Irish Schools Championships where he was 23rd in the ultra-competitive Intermediate division. Roger Dawson was 49th in the Junior race.
