Jeremy Harper was again the stand-out performer in the Irish University Championships at Irishtown over a cold and windy weekend, scoring half of the University of Ulster"s points. He won the discus with 45.68m, the shot with 13.04m, was second at javelin with 49.21m and won the 16Kg Weight for Distance with a throw of 9.66m. Gemma McAnirn (QUB) was fourth at discus with 28.29m, marginally below her pb. Francis Marsh (UU) was 7th in the 5000m in 15:56.20 min. Stuart Brown picked up a bronze as part of the UU 4x100m relay team.
