Jessica Craig clearly likes the roads round Sydenham and she went one better than last year on Sunday when she was second in the Belfast Telegraph Runher Women’s 5K at CIYMS in 20:12 min. Nearly 700 women entered the event organised by the club member Michael Jenkin‘s Up and Running shop with money raised for CLIC Sargent, the charity for children with cancer and there were well over 500 finishers. There was a surprise victory by newcomer Roberta Dornan, a clerical officer at Bangor Academy and Sixth Form College, who was 6th in the Lisburn half marathon but running in her first 5K race.
