After an ultramarathon last weekend, Jill Connolly could have been excused another long run this weekend, but Jill settled for another of We Run Wild NI’s events, a marathon taking in 2 loops and trails of the hills above Carrickfergus on Sunday 2nd July. At one stage runners even found themselves grateful for a rest as they were stuck behind the unusual marathon obstacle of a farmer herding a flock of sheep along a single track farm lane! Jill enjoyed the relaxed pace of this race, running with a group of like minded friends who all finished together in 5:20.
