Initially this week’s local road race calendar was congested enough with 3 races in 7 days, and then the Northern Ireland weather put paid to the annual Jimmy’s 10k road race in Downpatrick last Sunday. So it was rescheduled to this Sunday making it 3 races in 5 days.
Cliff McCausland got full attendance as he completed all 3, including the Larne half marathon the day before. Jane Stevenson and David Massey completed both the Queens 5k and Jimmy’s.
David Massey led the North Down runners home at Jimmy’s recording 38:26 before Terry Eakin won the O65’s as he finished in 41:44. Next in was Gerard Adair in 43:40 with Jane Stevenson clocking a decent 45:31 and then the energetic Cliff McCausland finished in 50:14.
