McNeese State University”s track and field team got its outdoor season underway on Saturday, taking part at the Northwestern State Relays in the wonderfully-named Natchitoches. Jordan Neil and NBH”s Stephen Scullion were both among the McNeese winners, respectively taking the 3000m in 8:37.58 min and the 3000m steeplechase in 9:12.55 min. It marked the return to action of Michael Dyer who made his debut for the Cowboys in two relays, the 1600m sprint medley where McNeese were 5th in 3:34.47 min, and the 1600m 4 x 400m relay where they were 12th in 3:31.94 min.
