Lauren Scott, currently living in Birmingham, returned for the weekend to take part in the AAI Inter County Cross Country Championship, which was held on Sunday over Sligo Racecourse and was the selection race for the upcoming European Championships. Lauren had an excellent race in the 8K Senior Womens Race to finish 17th in 33:26 min but was 3rd however at U23 level. With Kerry Harty (Newcastle) and Julie Turley (Dromore) well placed at 4th and 10th, County Down had the basis of a good team but lacked a fourth finisher.
