Over 1700 runners enjoyed the Lisburn hosted half marathon and 10k race on Wednesday evening. A few North Down runners took on the races but with the Ards Half on Friday interest may have been diverted in this direction.
Dan Trimble put in a strong run in the half marathon recording 1:22:33 to finish in 14thposition. Christopher Ballentine was our only other representative in the half and was timed at 1:14:11 to give him 143rd place.
In the 10k Francis Marsh was our first man home in 10th place, winning his age category in the process and clocking 35:09. Steven Donegan, racing as part of his Dublin marathon training, finished in 19th spot with a 36:57 timing. Darren Edgar was next in 39:56, 47th and a short time later Jason McMinn finished with 40:36 and in 53rd place.
