Lisburn XC, Moira Demesne

Brian Barron, Jordan Stokes and Matthew McMullan packed well in the 3 mile U18 race at the Lisburn Cross Country finishing 2nd, 3rd and 4th in 16:57, 17:25 and 17:42 min. In the Senior and Veteran Womens Race, also at 3 miles, Stephanie Hambling in 5th overall in 19:05 was the first vet and took the F35 prize with the F40 one going to Hilary Kernaghan who was 13th overall in 21:18  In the 4 miles Senior and Veteran Mens Race Simon Seaton in 7th with 22:21 led the North Down runners home with Ian Atkinson (2nd M35) 20th in 23:56 and Thomas Simpson 29th in 24:43. Ken Hawtin was 54th and 3rd M60 in 29:32. Sixty odd years younger than our oldest finisher, Kayleigh Walsh was 10th in the 800m Primary School Girls Race in 3:57.

Northern Ireland Cross Country Champion Brian Campbell had a comfortable victory in the mens race from Matthew Wilson with Breege Connolly taking the womens race from Aileen Morrison.
