Mark Patterson had a seasons best at 800m on Sunday when he guested in the Loughborough International, finishing 6th in the invitational race in 1:51.63 min. Also on Sunday, record May temperatures took their toll on runners during the Edinburgh Marathon, with one relay runner dying of a heart attack and 185 needing medical attention. Stephen Purdie finished 740th in the full marathon in 3:28.27 hrs.
