Ben Reynolds won the 110m Hurdles ‘A’ Invite race in 14.03 (w1.8m/s) ahead of Nick Gayle of Sale Harriers. Manchester. City of Derry’s Tom Carey was in action in the B race taking second spot in 14.70s. Several North Down athletes were competing in the AAI Games at Santry at the weekend. Tom Reynolds had – 100m 11.34 sec;  110H 14.86 sec;  PV  no height  (conditions not favourable),  HJ  1.85m.  Pete Glass had – 110H  14.76 sec,  pb,  HJ  1.85m, discus  43.36m, shot – 13.01m, long jump – 6.66m.  Brendan McConville ran 51.03 for 400m, his best for a few seasons and also had no height in the unfavourable PV conditions. Adam McComb had a pb of 50.35 sec at 400m. Both Tom and Pete are in the final prep stage before Tenerife Decathlon which Pete was 2nd in last year. It was a season opener for both Brendan and Adam.
