The Queens University grounds at Malone was the venue for this year’s Malcolm Cup. For the second consecutive week North Down were well represented throughout the races.
Ethan Constable kicked off with a second place finish in the U13 boys with Bailey Duncan claiming 10th spot and James Blease recording a 20th place finish.
In the girls U13’s Isla Wiltshire crossed the line in a fine 4th spot as Caitlyn Dickenson and Freya Lowry followed in 15th and 16th. Grace Foord completed the ND girls in 19th.
Becka Laffin and Holly Blease had strong returns in the U15 girls as they recorded 3rd and 5th places.
Once again the ladies had a great turnout with 14 athletes towing the line.

The North Down ladies finished 4th on the day which will do no harm to their overall league position.
In the Masters Men race which catered for O35 and upwards, Philip Mulligan made it home in 36th place, Les Wilkinson 49th and Pat O’Driscoll 77th.
The Malcolm Cup senior men’s race attracted 11 North Down men.
