Mark Patterson has been named among the 21 strong Ireland team selected to compete in the European Junior Championships in Serbia on July 23rd-26th. Mark is the only Northern Ireland athlete to compete in an individual event and will compete at 800m and also join the 4 x 400m relay squad. Jason Harvey of Lagan Valley will also be in the 4 x 400m relay squad. Like Ben Reynolds, his clubmate and counterpart in the UK team, Mark has been to the forefront of his event this summer, having run the 800m qualifying time on several occasions and he is Irish Schools and National Junior Champion. Additionally Amy Foster will compete in the European U23 Championships, Lithuania on July 16th-19th at 100m, 200m and in the 4 x 100m relay.
